I spend hours in front of you Trying to understand Your universal view I want to trace your fingerprints To know what makes you unique I want to know your weakness Let me know when to hold I want to know your strength And see your beauty Sparkle like gems.
The wind touches the curtain, and they are dancing.
Relaxing music playing while I’m writing.
The green and red light silhouette behind the glass window.
Beautiful night lights.
Sound of electric fan in summer nights.
The smell of grass and soil after rain.
Children are calmly sleeping.
And the girl is grateful for everything.
It’s been a year since we became neighbor and yet I still don’t know your name; I only that you are the mother of Bomjin. I’m sorry if I can only do small talks every time we meet. I always know that you are a good person.
I haven’t entered your house, but from the glimpse outside I adore it: the all-white interior design and the large plant beside the main door. Beautiful.
I am at ease when your son and my kids play together. I am grateful for treating my kids like your own. Thank you for helping my kids to cross the street yesterday.
It’s 6 am and the sun is already up. Summer, daylight lasts longer and nighttime is shorter. What do I like about summer? I asked myself. Summer is my least favorite season. I couldn’t find the answer for 2 minutes.
And then I look outside, appreciating the beauty of the green mountain that I can only see during summer. I look at the sky, and it’s clear while the thin clouds are dancing. Nothing can beat the clear sky of summer.
I turn my attention to the crop fields. Their leaves are waving on me. I thank summer for these crops.
What do I like about summer? I asked myself again. I see the true beauty of nature in summer. The taste of cold water. Camping. Longer days. Watermelons. And Jiwoo’s birthday.
